As we left the US, we were excited, nervous, sad, and honestly a bit scared for what was to come; new adventures and all. To ease our transition (and for a great vacation) we crashed our close friend’s Costa Rica vacation!

If you are from this area you know. ‘Down East’ is the geographic/ nautical term referring to the eastern coastal region and the maritime provinces of Maine that encompasses Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island, and Acadia National Park. It is legit beautiful!

48 Hours in Medora, North Dakota
Driving from Montana into North Dakota was the beginning of the next chapter of our road trip. It marked the start of our second month on the road; it was also completely new territory for us. Thanks to my good friend, Google, we had planned our adventures around Medora, ND and more specifically the Maah Daah Hey Trail. In our time there we packed in a lot and I’m not convinced we could have done it any better!
“Raddest Race in the Baddest Place”
I ran my first 10k, YAAAAY! We had been planning this race for so long, when it finally came around I was extremely excited. Was the race really pretty? Yes! Did I train for this race? No! Was I hydrated enough? Nope!
